Adult Enrichment Series: New series begins September 2010

Place: Mandarin Community Club

Time: 9:00 am - 10:00 am

Fall Adult Enrichment Begins in September

We will be offering two monthly enrichment classes in the fall for adults and tweens/teens (when accompanying an adult):

Articulating Your Faith facilitated by Pat Ray

Do you know what the five questions are that can be asked about the beliefs of any religious tradition? What do you say after you say you’re UU? AYF will be offered on the second Sunday from 9:15am-10:15am for three months on September 12, October 10, and November 14. This curriculum is designed to include youth and will include newest video and materials from “Making a Case for Unitarian Universalism.” The best part of this course? If you find you have more to explore when the time’s up, you can join us at the second Sunday lunch after church to continue and practice your new knowledge.

The Bible For Religious Liberals facilitated by Pat Ray and Eric Cravey

Holy scripture, ultimate guide or interesting historical text? No matter how you view the Bible it’s used (and some would say abused) in our world every day. An opportunity to look at the material in this far reaching book will be available on the third Sunday from 9:30 am - 10:20 am for four months on September 19, October 17, November 21, cumulating with the Christmas story on December 19. Don’t have a Bible? No worries. Just let us know when you enroll and we’ll be sure to have a loaner for you.

Sign up sheets will be provided on the back table. Please be sure to sign up so we can ensure we have adequate materials.
